SCHC Helps Take the Pressure Off!

Sandwich Community Health Centre is excited to be working with the Heart & Stroke Foundation on a 3 year patient program aimed at controlling blood pressure in people diagnosed with high blood pressure.

High blood pressure affects one in five Canadians. It is the number one risk factor for stroke and a major risk factor for heart disease, so it is very important that it is properly controlled. Yet, 42% of people with high blood pressure don't even know they have it. Those who have it can't see it. Nor can they feel it. But the good news is that we can control high blood pressure!
