Well Women Clinic
Description:
On Saturday, October 4th, 2008 a clinic was held for women funded by a Cancer Prevention Network grant. This one day clinic aims to provide women with an opportunity to obtain cancer screening (i.e. cervical cancer screening; breast self examination, and colorectal screening) provided by women health providers. We are encouraging women of all cultures to participate.
Another clinic will be held prior to August of 2009.
Location: Felix SCHC site
Your Responsibilities:
Assist with preparation for the day.
Assist clients to complete regisration form.
Provide education on breast self-examination.
Collate information from registration forms.
Provide report/presentation on findings.

Create a communication plan to disseminate information.
Learning Opportunities:
Gain in-depth knowledge of health promotion and health education.
Learn to use data programs.
Gain experience with program planning.
Learn/hone interview skills.
