Take a Hike!
Take a Hike was first offered in 2003 as part of the Envision 21 initiative in response to client feedback and the community needs assessment. This staff-facilitated program is for anyone. The goal of the program is to educate the participants about local nature parks and the environmental issues faced by West Windsor. Information is shared about how we can help prevent the environmental issues or what can be done to reduce/eliminate the issue. The program is offered in the fall of each year and lasts for about three hours. The tour is conducted in Ojibway Park by naturalist Dan Bissonnette. In 2007 Take a Hike was awarded an AOHC EPIC award!
