Seniors Picnic

Since 1992 the seniors of the SCHC catchment area have enjoyed the Seniors Picnic. The picnic is held every year on the second Wednesday of July at Mic Mac Park. It is held rain or shine, and an alernate location (in the event of rain) is planned by the members of the Seniors Advisory Council. This staff-facilitated program is for the seniors in the community to provide an opportunity for socialization. McDonald's restaurant provides the food for the picnic and also helps out by supplying volunteers. The Centre for Seniors also provides assistance for this fun filled day.
