Massage Therapist
SCHC is currently seeking a part-time (0.4 FTE) Therapist - Massage/Touch Therapy. Massage/Touch Therapy may be used for many reasons including: to have a moment of relaxation, reduce muscle tension or attain relief from chronic pain, a therapeutic massage can enhance your overall sense of emotional and physical well-being as well as your quality of life. Massage/Touch Therapy benefits people of all ages and may assist in preventing illness and conditions before they develop. Massage/Touch Therapy can be used in the treatment of both acute and chronic stages of conditions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform massage therapy and other complementary techniques on individuals referred by other team members.
2. Act as a client advocate for individual and systemic issues.
3. Perform case management functions.
4. Contribute to chart documentation, participate in chart reviews and case conferences and make referrals.
5. Participate in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of treatment, education, and health promotion programs and services for individuals, couples, families and the community.
Qualifications:
1. Additional supervised clinical training.
2. Massage therapy experience preferred; preferably in a community health setting.
3. Proficiency in current assessment techniques for working with individuals.
4. Experience in program development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
Education:
1. Certificate from a recognized massage therapy program and/or other relevant complementary therapy courses.
Salary Range: $33,637 - $40,527 per year (prorated to 0.4 FTE equivalent)
