Clinical Bulletin Boards
Description:
Health Promotion utilizes a variety of strategies to provide information to people. The underlying premise of any interaction is to increase the information uptake so that people can make better and more informed health choices. The clinical location has five bulletin boards, in each treatment room. Each month we follow the Health Canada's Health Promotion themes to create health messages using the boards.
Your Responsibilities:
Conduct research for pertinent health information related to each theme.
Obtain relevant information to support further information seeking.
Use your creativity to create a visually appealing board.
Present information to the manager for approval of information.

Work with other students/volunteers to put up the information.
Learning Opportunities:
Utilize health promotion strategies.
Be familiar with community agencies and what resources they offer.
Gain research skills.
Gain insight into mass communication strategies.
Practice your written health communication skills.
Organization of information.
